8th July 2023. This was todays air layer from my large Acer carpinifolia, Hornbeam leaf maple.

I will be potting it up into Akadama. I will cut back the branches to reduce the loss of water and it will be kept in a fairly shady area until I am sure that it is growing well.

I hope it will make a good shohin sized bonsai in a relatively short period.
